A story of kinship between two far-fetched friends through correspondence: Mary, a forlorn, eight-year-old young lady living in suburbia of Melbourne, and Max, a forty-four-year old, seriously corpulent man living in New York. In the mid-1970’s, an unattractive, forsaken Australian young lady of 8 selects name from a Manhattan telephone directory and keeps in touch with him; she incorporates a chocolate bar. He composes back, with chocolate. In this way starts a 20-year correspondence. Will the two ever meet up close and personal?
